About

A sophisticated seafood restaurant on Ocean Drive that sources directly from local fishermen. The raw bar is impeccable, the stone crab claws are legendary in season, and the whole grilled snapper with mojo criollo is the best fish dish in South Beach. Sunset views included.

South Beach Seafood at Its Absolute Best

Coral & Brine does what so many Ocean Drive restaurants fail to do — it serves genuinely excellent food in a beautiful setting without coasting on the view. The raw bar is the place to start: oysters from six different coasts, each with its own mignonette, and littleneck clams that taste like the Atlantic.

The stone crab claws, available October through May, are the best I've had outside of Joe's — meaty, sweet, and served with a classic mustard sauce that doesn't try to reinvent the wheel.

The whole grilled snapper is the showstopper. A two-pound fish, scored and grilled over charcoal, finished with mojo criollo — garlic, sour orange, cumin, oregano. The flesh flakes off in big, clean pieces. Pair it with the tostones and a cold glass of Albariño, and you've got the perfect Miami meal.
